Valentines Snackage

Its not my normal Tuesday but, I wanted to do something for Valentines that will being the whole family together.

Here is one of my favorite valentine go to activities. This is super simple and the whole family will love it. I want to keep this short because, you want to get to the recipe and I want to tried these treats that we made ourselves. For this recipe: the adults did the melting and cutting, while we helped the kid dip and drizzle.

Stuffed and Dipped Chocolate Strawberries

Ingredients

1 pint fresh strawberries
1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
1/2 cup confectioners' sugar, or to taste
2 tablespoons orange flavored
2 tablespoons of milk
16 ounces milk chocolate chips or your favorite candy melts.
(we used pink and white)

2 Teaspoons of shortening or coconut oil

Directions

1. Cut the tops off of the strawberries and stand upright on the cut side. Make a cut 3/4 of the way down from the tip of the strawberry towards the bottom.

2. Beat together the cream cheese, sugar, milk and flavor until smooth in a mixer or a food processor. Place into a piping bag with a star tip. Pipe into each strawberry and place on parchment paper to set up.

3. Next melt chocolate and oil in a microwave safe dish. I like to do this in 30 sec increments until smooth. This also helps from burning the chocolate.

4. Once set up dip each strawberry in melted chocolate and place back on serving tray to set up.
5. Once set up arrange on serving tray.

I hope you enjoy and don't forget to comment and let me know how your valentines went. Did you make it about the family or was it just you and your hunny? Either way let me know.

We plan to make it a family day and I will definitely let you in on my next blog.
