Tasty Tuesdays! Quick Marinara

Heeeeey Everybody and how was your valentines? 
Did you just relax and stay in or did you go out?


Well Here is a recipe that I've developed a long time ago, even before going to culinary school. Its something that I use for all of my pasta recipes and the kids love it. I use it from spaghetti, to lasagna, to chicken parmesan. I even mix some with my Alfredo for a delicious rose sauce. 

Before we go into the recipe, here is a tip.
Even though there are measurements a lot of spices are to taste and can always be adjusted. 

Here is my go to Marinara.






Dev's Quick Marinara 

1 can Crushed Tomatoes
1 can Diced Tomatoes 
1 can of Roasted Dice tomatoes 
1/2 can tomato paste
2 can tomato sauce 
4 tbsp Minced Garlic 
2 tsp Brown sugar
1 tbsp italian Seasoning 
1 Tbsp thyme 
1 Tbsp rosemary 
2 Tbsp Balsamic
1 Tbsp onion powder 
1 Tbsp olive oil 
Salt to taste
Pepper to tast 


mix all ingredients in a pot and simmer on low for 30-50 min. Let mixture cool down and add ingredients into a blender and mix. Remember the mixture will still be hot so be careful of the steam. once mixed correct seasoning with salt and pepper to taste. serve over your favorite pasta. Also great with sausage added or in lasagna. You can store the sauce in mason jars and refrigerate it up to a month.
